Original 1960s Italian Hand-Painted Ceramic Elephant Garden Stool Plant Stand

Finely hand painted on Italy circa 1960s elephant plant stand or garden stool with Indian-style ceremonial costume of headpiece, fringed and beaded trompe l’oeil blankets and a fluted saddle with Greek key like border. This is the original from which copies have been made. Measures 15″ tall by 13″ wide and 9″ deep. Handy as a small stool, drinks table by a chair in a sunroom, on the porch or by the pool as they do at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach. Mint condition
