19th century Karl Johan Swedish birch chest of drawers circa 1840. Beautiful quality karl johan period swedish commode. 2 plank veneered top surface with moulded edge, fitted with 4 graduating drawers, with working locks and key. Applied ebonised and turned decoration which flow down each side. Raised on 4 ebonised tapered legs. Recently re-polished in our workshop and ready for everyday use. Later locks. Minor evidence of dead/treated inactive worm. Minor restorations to woodwork and grain age splits.
