Vintage Design
Commonly known as bargeware or canalware.
Hand painted with deep black base.
with tied flower bouquet painted to both ends.
And roses to the front.
The real show stopper though is the exquisite painting of a landscaped horse ‘Molly’ on the top, presented in an oval.
Small in size, as you would expect for a piece of furniture which fits on the narrow confines of a barge.
This chest of drawers is set as two short over two long drawers raised on bracket feet.
It has been used for purpose and has a bit of wear commensurate with its age, mainly nicks, some of which have been repainted over.
It really is a lovely piece which would look good in any home or commercial setting.
And as it is hand painted, very unique!
