Vintage Design
We picked up a set of 4 director’s chairs on a flea market with tubular green metal frame and peeling paint, dirty canvass and rusty details but as confirmed by our first feeling, the chairs revealed a noble elegant design hidden under a patina of gloom.
Indeed they have been produced in the 70’s by Industrie Conti, a former Italian industry of metal furniture in the golden era of the upcoming industrial design.
To break the rules and give new life to apparently anonymous furniture, we lacquered them in a fierce burgundy, added shiny brass feets bringing to life also the golden details and enriched the chairs with a Dedar striped fabric inspired by the world of neckties.
