American modern metal and red fabric chairs by Warren Platner for Knoll, 1970s Cockpit chairs with a round base. The structure follows curved and rounded lines and makes up the backrest, the armrests, the seat, the stem and finally the base. The structure is made up of curved nickel-plated metal rods welded to rounded frames and to the base, which is covered with a transparent plastic. The backrest, armrests and seat follow the shapes of the structure and are padded and covered in orange-red fabric. The seat is removable and is fixed to its white plastic base, covered in the same fabric, via Velcro strips. Can also be used as an armchair. Produced in 1970s and designed by Warren Platner in 1966. Fair condition, with signs of use and aging and oxidation. There are discolorations, marks and defects of the padding on the armrests and backrests. Measurements in cm 72x56x75h 63h armrests 49h seat
