Antique Napoleon III French mahogany writing desk with skillfully chiseled gilt bronze applications. The rectangular-shaped top is bordered by a gilt bronze railing with a chiseled skin in the center surrounded by a wooden reserve placed across The under-shelf band also embellished with bronze garnishes bearing palmette motifs contains two side drawers identifiable by a beautiful finely chiseled gilt bronze spout. The four feet of a truncated cone shape with fluting bear a handsome capital also in bronze and end in slippers of the same material. Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen with traditional handmade shellac and alcohol method. Provenance: 19th century France. Measurements: 100×60 H80cm. Document: Certificate of Authenticity.
